just introducing myself - DJ60 - 03-22-2015

hey all. Just thought I'd introduce myself. I'm new to this board, just found it. I'm a 60yr old guy (trans), just learning/coming out as trans. Trying to meet others like me who have more experience. Not looking to hook up, just looking for information, etc. from real people.
I'd like to have top surgery, questioning myself since I AM 60, is it really worth all the hassle, etc.
anyway, hope ya all have a great day

Thanks for the introduction! I know a number of trans guys who transitioned after 40, 50 and 60. I'm pretty sure there's never a best before date on being true to yourself! Wink

What part of the world are you from?

Hi,
I am 52 and just starting. I have never been happier with my decision. No we are never to old to start on our journey!

seriously, the journey we've been bottling up for too long.

Hey there...

Turning 60 in October and considering... seriously considering top surgery finally. Age is a factor for me as well. Concerned about the healing process being slower. I don't drink or smoke and am in relatively decent shape.

Have touched base with a local Doc and want to head in for a consult. Interested in hearing from other older guys about their mental and physical state in considering top surgery at our age.

Thanks,
Seth

Seth, this would be an excellent topic for a new thread in the Top Surgery Forum. Hope someone starts one! Wink
