Hello, my name is Myles and I am a trans man that is ready to pursue top surgery. I am aiming to work with Dr Gallagher in Miami FL, as she is a pro working with larger bodies and after extensive research I feel the safest with her. Not only this, but I feel she will deliver the best results for a body like mine. I am having a consultation with her soon to get a full quote for the surgery, but it is estimated to be $9000-13000. I will require having it done in the hospital and an overnight hospital stay. I also am currently located in Texas, so I will also need to have money for travel (my fiancee and I will be driving), board, food and time off work.
Now for a little bit about me. I am an author and poet by hobby, and enjoy writing short stories, fanfiction and poetry about my human experience. I live with my fiancee and a myriad of critters and hope to one day go back to school to pursue being a herpetologist. I am the VP and social chair of a local transmasculine organization and enjoy curating monthly socials that bring out community together.
I work a nearly full time job (so long as hours are good) and my fiancee works full time as well. Despite our hard work, we are still low income and struggle with paying for everything it takes to live. I am a chronically ill individual, suffering from chronic sciatica, severe asthma, and a few mental conditions such as psychosis. This can make working difficult, and make it difficult to pursue work with better pay. My fiancee and I are doing everything we csn to save up for the surgery, but I understand that it is not enough for us to do it alone.
I have dreamed of a flat chest for as long as I can remember. I would always giggle with friends and talk about how I wished I had a flatter chest years before I ever came out, always with a pang of longing. My dysphoria has only increased over the years, and upon accepting that I truly wanted top surgery, came down on me like a flood. I am now daily struggling with very severe dysphoria and being unable to bind due to my sciatica and asthma. This surgery would not only help me to absolve this dysphoria, but also help me to finally feel at home in my body and free.
If you can, take a moment to donate or perhaps even share. This surgery would be life changing for me, and any help to get there would also be life changing. Thank you for reading this far, take care!
