I was wondering if anyone has ever had a surgeon reject or deny a patient a full metaoidoplasty with urethral lengthening and scrotoplasty.

First let me say I care less about appearance then functionality. If the surgeon was concerned about the end appearance but functionally it would be fine would they still deny to do the surgery?

I am wondering because the surgeon I spoke with and am meeting with next week implied over the phone that a phalloplasty would work better. I am concerned that he will tell me I am not a candidate for a full meta.

I was also wondering if that is the case has anyone ever heard of the possibility of a "smaller" phalloplasty? Meaning that it would be thinner and smaller than the typical ones? almost all of the ones I have seem bigger then I would like either length or width!

I just really do not like the idea of the skin grafts and the healing process involved in that. My total abdominal hysto was bad enough. thinking of 3 different areas needing to heal all at the same time, that is just not what I want.

I think if the meta I want was denied I might just opt for a vaginectomy and release then... but I really would like to be able to have the urethral lengthening and scotoplasty.

Mind if I ask which surgeon this was? PM is fine with me if you want. I can think of several reasons, but knowing who the doctor is might help me clarify my thoughts.

Also, I've heard several guys tell that they chose the size they wanted. Hopefully a conscientious surgeon would listen to their patient's wishes in regards to the desired size of the penis.

Worth mentioning for anyone who might read but not know, swelling can be pretty intense and make things look... well, you get the point. I'm think a fair number of pics available to view are taken early on when swelling might still be a factor in the apparent size.

Sorry for the time it took to reply. I don't visit this forum much and I forgot about this post. Also I didn't know how to check if I had replies until today when I just found it.

This is with Dr. Brassard.
