“hi, my name is emile and im a 22 year old non-binary trans masc person! back in 2021, i came out as non-binary and recently figured out i am trans masc (woo)! but due to reasons further than just my physical presentation, im seeking top surgery! due to the size of my chest, ive been experiencing pain for as long as i can remember, but i have also never felt comfortable in my own skin and top surgery has always been on my radar. so, im killing two birds with one stone!
im using crowdfunding because i am 22, have been consistently working 2+ jobs on top of acquiring a degree, and have minimal support from my family, so i decided to reach out to my community instead (:
i got my first consultation done back in february where i was deemed a “perfect candidate”, but insurance told us that it was “only cosmetic” despite the proof submitted. then i lost my insurance. so, after a very difficult year, ive been mulling over crowdfunding and funding my own surgery outside of the insurance market, and that’s finally what ive decided to do!
