Hi I have been on t for a year and two months, but I really want top surgery. It's so expensive and I don't know what to do. I live in Windsor Ontario and was wondering if a surgeon was close to me. Double insicion is fine with me and I'd prefer someone in Canada. I'm struggling finding work and all the money I have is going on my wedding in June.I'm on welfare and would love to know if there was any kind of coverage I could get. CAMH takes a year to wait I wanna see if there is something else and maybe somethig with not so long of a waiting list. Any ideas?

You may be able to find a surgeon in Windsor. I haven't heard of one doing FTM top surgery there, but you might find a surgeon doing gynecomastia surgery, which could be appropriate depending on chest size.

A little further away is Dr. McLean in Mississauga, who does very nice work, and Drs. DuPere and Adbifar in Toronto.

Money-wise, your best bet is OHIP and CAMH, despite the wait. You can't save money because that will affect your social benefits. I know waiting sucks, trust me, but one year isn't too bad comparatively speaking. Sorry I don't have a "magic bullet" answer for you!
