i called the papillon center recently to set up a consultation for a mastectomy and they wont see me until i've been on hormones for a year. i've been living authentically for three years and have completed the required therapy to get my letter. I'm of more than sound mind and am wondering why they want to make me wait to move forward. I've called other doctors in florida that didn't require a year on hormones. I've seen a few pre op pictures where the chest look as if it were deflated and was wondering if that normally happens. All the guys i know who are post op or on hormones were built with small frames and small busts unlike myself. they never really needed to bind to begin with so i cant ask them. Im skinny as anything but have a large bust, which is why I'm wondering if this happens. if it does it would end up saving me thousands of dollars if i wait to have the surgery because it would be less tissue to remove.
any one with knowledge or prior experience with this who could explain it to me would really be helping me out.
thanks! -Issak
