Dr. Dany Hanna, DO is a fellowship-trained Gender Surgeon and Urologist who established the Hanna Gender Center in Dallas, Texas as a one-stop facility for gender-affirming surgical care. Dr. Hanna is uniquely qualified to perform most aspects of female to male surgery and works with a multidisciplinary team of providers to offer the full spectrum of FTM surgeries.

FTM Bottom Surgery
With his background in Urology and comprehensive training in gender-affirming genital surgery, Dr. Hanna is a great choice for trans men and non-binary individuals seeking FTM bottom surgery.
Dr. Hanna offer multiple methods Metoidioplasty: Simple Release, Ring Meta and Belgrade Metoidioplasty (aka Full Metoidioplasty.) At your consultation, Dr. Hanna will ask about your goals and provide detailed information about your options regarding Vaginectomy vs. partial closure, Scrotoplasty, Testicular Implants and ways to optimize your results, such as a Mons Resection (pubic lift) and aesthetic revisions. A minimum of two years of testosterone hormone replacement is recommended before proceeding with any Metoidioplasty technique.
Dr. Hanna can refer you to a gynecologist on his team for a Hysterectomy. Hysterectomy can be performed at the same time as Metoidioplasty, if desired.

FTM Top Surgery
Dr. Hanna offers multiple methods of Top Surgery and will make a recommendation for which approach to use based on your aesthetic goals. Chest size and skin elasticity will also inform his recommendation.
- Double Incision: For those with larger chests.
- Buttonhole: For those with larger chests who prioritize nipple sensation.
- Peri-Areolar: For those with smaller chests and good skin elasticity.
Dr. Hanna also offers Body Masculinization and Hair Grafting.
Surgery Requirements
- Two referrals from qualified mental health professionals for FTM bottom surgery procedures; one referral for other procedures unless otherwise specified by insurance.
- A letter from your hormone specialist stating you have been on 12 months of continuous hormones for FTM bottom surgery procedures, unless testosterone is not medically indicated.
- 18+ years of age.
- BMI limits vary by procedure. However, overall patient health is a better indicator of surgical readiness.

Dr. Hanna accepts cash, credit/debit cards, cashier's check, CareCredit, insurance, Medicaid plans that cover gender-affirming surgery and Tricare military healthcare insurance.
Booking a Consultation
Phone, virtual and in-person consultations in Dallas are available for a fee of $100. (If insurance is being used, the fee is the specialist copay.) The wait time for a consultation is one month. Dr. Hanna speaks English and Arabic.
