Bottom Surgery in San Francisco
Metoidioplasty: Simple Metoidioplasty serves as the basis for all Metoidioplasty surgeries. The penis is created from the clitoris after it has been enlarged through the use of testosterone therapy. It is straightened and moved to a position that more closely approximates the position of a penis. The Full Metoidioplasty procedure also includes Vaginectomy, Urethral Lengthening and Scrotoplasty. Dr. Gurjala offers each of the different types of Metoidioplasty. He performs Vaginectom using excision and uses buccal mucosa for urethral reconstruction. Dr. Gurjala offers both saline-filled and solid silicone testicular implants.
Single Scar Phalloplasty (SSP): SSP is a variation of ALT Phalloplasty which uses a skin, fat and fascia flap from the thigh to the penis. The flap is pre-expanded using tissue expanders to allow for full wound closure without a skin graft. The result is less scarring compared to other Phalloplasty procedures. Urethral Lengthening and an erectile implant are optional.
