Dr. Helena Guarda, MD, is a board-certified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon who is committed to offering masculinization surgeries as part of her LGBT-friendly surgery practice in Suffolk, Virginia. Requirements & Payment
- Dr. Guarda practices informed consent, however a letter from a therapist recommending surgery is sometimes required. For example, if using insurance or Medicare, letters are required.
- Patients must be 18 years or older and in good general health.
- A mammogram may be required depending on age and history.
- Dr. Guarda accepts cash, credit cards, certified check, Care Credit, insurance and Medicare. She does not accept Medicaid.
