Dr. Kenan Celtik, MD is a Reconstructive Urologist who specializes in gender-affirming genital surgery. His 15 years of medical education included robust training in pelvic reconstruction, robotic surgery and neurourology. Dr. Celtik possesses a dynamic mix of expertise, compassion and commitment that allow him to provide the highest level of care to his patients. Dr. Celtik joined the Crane Center for Transgender Surgery in 2023 and works out of their San Francisco location.

Dr. Celtik is a member of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH), the Society of Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgeons (GURS), the Sexual Medicine Society of North America (SMSNA) and the American Urological Association (AUA).

Dr. Celtik operates at Sutter Health California Pacific Medical Center – Davies Campus and St. Francis Memorial Hospital in San Francisco; and Greenbrae Surgery Center and Bon Air Surgery Center in Greenbrae, California.
Surgery Requirements
Dr. Celtik follows WPATH guidelines for surgery. You will need to provide
two referrals from qualified mental health professionals, and a letter
from your hormone provider confirming that you have been on 12 months of
HRT, unless clinically contraindicated. Genital surgery is only performed
on those who are 18 and older.
Insurance Plans
Dr. Celtik accepts insurance and is in-network with: Anthem Blue Cross,
Blue Cross Blue Shield, Blue Shield of California, Sutter Select, Western
Health Advantage, and San Francisco Health Plan.
The Crane Center has also had success billing out-of-network with Aetna, Group Health, Harvard Pilgrim, Health Net, HealthPartners, Medica, most managed Medi-Cal plans, Pacific Source, Sharp Health Plan and United Healthcare.
Out-of-state Medicaid and Medicare are not accepted.
