Top Surgery in Connecticut
Dr. Jandali focuses on two primary methods of FTM Top Surgery: Keyhole Top Surgery and Double Incision Top Surgery.
Keyhole Top Surgery is valued for its aesthetic benefits as there is minimal scarring. It is an ideal approach for those who have a smaller chest and good skin elasticity. During the procedure, a small incision is made around the areola and breast tissue is removed through this incision. Because the nipple-areola complex isn’t removed, the Keyhole method preserves nipple sensation.
Double Incision Top Surgery is the best method when there are larger volumes of breast tissue and excess skin to be removed and is therefore usually recommended for those who have a larger chest. The procedure involves two horizontal incisions made just below the pectoral muscles. Breast tissue and skin are removed through these incisions. The nipple-areola complexes are removed and used to create more masculine-looking areolas and nipples which are grafted on. Because the nerves are cut to accomplish this, nipple-areola sensation may be diminished after surgery.
Whether Dr. Jandali is performing Keyhole or Double Incision Top Surgery, he uses liposuction to ensure a smooth masculine chest contour, and inserts surgical drains to prevent build-up of fluid inside the chest. The drains are usually removed at about 5-7 days post-op.
