Please help me afford Top Surgery - R.north - 09-10-2022
Hi everyone, I'm Roman a (FtM) trans masc living in Jamaica. I've delayed starting my transition journey so many times due to fear for my safety but dysphoria has gotten so bad that I could no longer ignore it. I started my HRT journey and is now at a point where I need gender affirming top surgery. I have tried to save but loss my job due to covid and had to use my savings. I've also been job searching however keep being told I don't employ your kind along with other homophobic and transphobic slurs I wish not to relive. I'm starting to lose hope and my mental health as been getting worse due to the discrimination I'm facing. I'm constantly being clocked due to my chest area and being turn away from job opportunities. I'm always trying to hide my chest as much as possible hoping no one notices and it's giving me severe social anxiety. I wish I could go to insurance company and have my surgery funded however trans care is not supported in Jamaica due to no legislation for us. You guys are my last hope in getting the care I need so I can lead a normal life. I'm fund raising to cover the cost of my top surgery, travel and lodging expenses since I need to travel for the affirming care. Even if you cannot afford to donate just by sharing my fundraiser you are helping so please share it.
