Question About Age Regarding Surgery - IzayaLevi - 06-19-2016
Hi everyone,
I had a question about top surgery and my age. I'm 16, turning 17 on August 9th. I want to get top surgery once I'm 18, but the problem is, I'll be a senior in high school when I'm 18 (unless I meet my goal of graduating early). My dad doesn't want me to get surgery until I'm 18. But, I don't know, is he allowed to still keep me from getting top surgery because I'll be in school? Or can I do it because then I'll be 18?

Once you are 18, you will legally be able to make your own choice about whether or not to have Top Surgery, even if you're still in school. Despite this though, if you live with your parents, or if they are paying for Top Surgery, they'll have a say in that.
