Having top surgery? Your surgeon will probably advise you about specific medications that should be discontinued prior to surgery, specifically any medications that interfere with normal blood clotting. Be sure to follow your surgeon's advice about this, and if in doubt about a medication or herb that you take, ask your surgeon!
Medications and herbs contained in this list may contribute to excessive bleeding during and after your surgery and should be avoided.

Thanks a lot for sharing this. A friend of mine is considering an ftm top surgery in a clinic in Mississauga and she has been collecting information regarding the surgery since last 2 weeks. I have seen her taking some medications (she is a diabetic patient) and I hope she may need to discontinue taking them. Anyway, I am sure this information will be useful for her, will definitely ask her to go through this.
