I am hoping to find a surgeon who will do a double mastectomy. I don't much care if my chest ends up having scars, retaining nipples/sensation, or looking stereotypically masculine.

Do I need to have a FTM-specific surgeon do it, or could I try asking around my local hospital system?

Is there anyone in Michigan who is particularly well regarded?

Are there generally requirements before surgery? I've been presenting as male in my daily life for nearly a decade, although I've been off T for about 4 years now.

If there are particular surgeons that you'd recommend, what is their pricing?

How do you find a surgeon? Do you need a referral or can you contact their office for an appointment directly?

Hey Jesse, here's a list of surgeons who offer Top Surgery in Michigan:
http://www.topsurgery.net/states/michigan.htm

It's best to have the surgery done with someone experienced.

Dr. Kuzon has probably done the most surgeries in Michigan, as he's part of the gender program at the U of Michigan. To access his services, you'd need to be in the UM Gender Services program.

You can contact surgeons directly. Those working in hospital settings may require a referral.

Hope this helps!
