Recently my appeal on my health insurance's decision to deny me coverage was denied so I need to raise money to pay out-of-pocket for my surgery.

Blue Cross denied my appeal of their decision to deny me coverage for top surgery because I’m neutrois and not male, and don’t require hormone therapy (in contradiction of both their own policy and WPATH standards.)

I don't have any magic answers for you, but you may want to check out this guy's fund raiser: he also had an appeal declined and offered hand crafted items as perks to raise close to $4k. You might be able to "reverse engineer" his success. https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/trans...rgery-fund
