I'm looking into surgeons in my area, preferably closer to Long Island or in NYC. I'm struggling with how to determine if a surgeon is the right fit for me. Also, I have UnitedHealthcare Oxford and cannot afford to pay a lot. Any suggestions/advice is appreciated.

Northwell as a transgender surgery program now. Dr. David Whitehead. Their website seems to be down right now though.

Dr. Alan Freedman is also in Great Neck, but I don't think he takes insurance.
