Hey I'm really desperate for some solid information about orgasm and sensation after RFF phalloplasty. I just had my consultation with DR. Crane, im super excited about surgery but i just wish i had someone to talk to that has had the procedure done. I have so many questions that i did have Dr. Crane answer but I wish i could hear it from an actual post op guy. Like how do the semi-ridge "rods" work.... in real life sex scenarios. Not that Dr. Crane isn't knowledgeable, he is. I just want some real life details about the surgery. If anyone could get back to my post that d be awesome.
Thanks

You will be able to talk directly with guys who have had RFF with crane (a few of my friends are post RFF with crane). I can't personally tell you what it's like after RFF but I can grant you a bit of understand based on ALT phalloplasty as I am post that almost 3 months now. I haven't had my second stage yet so also can't speak on the effects of the semi rigid. But sensation so far at 3 months for me is pretty dam awesome. I have no issues jerking off and getting off and due to my specific anatomically layout I can ejaculate the same way I did after meta. As time goes on I will gain more and more sensation indeed and I'm sure the same goes for RFF. First few months are a trail as you will have very little sensation. Or you might get lucky like myself and wake up from surgery with sensation at the base (was shocking to myself and Crane). I'm also not set on the erectile device seeing as though I technically do not need one with the donor site I have chosen. I can easily insert my penis vaginally and it will stay in with no issues and it doesn't double over onto itself either. The only thing that makes a huge difference to me in my decision process was placement of scar and size. I went in 2012 when I first spoke to crane I was set on forearm but as I researched more and more I realized it wasn't in my best interest. Fast forward to now, I was totally right for my particular situation and the size I am now would not have been remotely possible with forearm (I am 7.5 inches long, 3.5 inches in width, and 8 inches around ; girth will reduce in coming months about 1/2-1 inch as swelling subsides).

But yes join the group and you'll be able to talk specifically to Cranes forearm patients and those getting ready to go to Chen as well.

I am doing lots of research about ALT surgery and my therapist has recommended I reach out to someone who has had ALT. This is my final step before I get my letter. Would you be willing to answer some questions for me about your experiences and post op sensations?

Sure that's no issues my sensation is excellent. I'm not almost 9 months post ALT phallo and man I was soooooooo right the sensation just keeps getting better. I can feel the tip of my penis very easily which started happening like 4 months ago. Organs are absolutely AMAZING! I can only describe it as 200x better than it was post meta or pre op any lower surgery. I am super happy I went to Dr Crane and could not recommend him and his staff more! Feel free to ask any specific questions I am more than happy to answer as this information is totally left out of the loop.

Notyouraveragejoe - It's awesome to hear that you have such great sensation--I've decided to go with ALT but it's pretty difficult finding many guys who talk about this procedure, in particular. Could you talk about how your leg has healed throughout the process? Have you lost any movement, etc?
