I'm planning to get top surgery, but I am having trouble finding a good surgeon who is affordable. I live in Northern Virginia and the closest surgeon is Dr. Beverly Fischer in Timonium, MD. I've heard good things about her, but I still do want to compare surgeons and their prices. I hear you can get it cheaper somewhere else like Florida. I plan on getting peri-areola surgery. Please, if anyone knows any information regarding costs on top surgery, reply to this forum! I am hoping to spend no more than 5500k, fees included.

Yes, I think Dr. Fischer would be the closest.
In North Carolina, there's Dr. MacFee, and Dr. Jeffords in Atlanta is reasonably close. I don't know what they charge these days though.
You're right about Florida too. The most affordable top surgery I've heard of is with Dr. Alexander.
Most surgeons charge less for Peri-Areolar than Double Incision, so you have that going for you. (Dr. Garramone is the only one I can think of who charges more for Peri.) I paid $6K for Peri in Vancouver, Canada.
So, I'd do some more comparison shopping. I saved a lot of money doing this!

I recommend Doctor Navine Singh in Chevy Chase, Maryland.
He did an EXCELLENT job on my chest. I went from being a large B/small C to being totally flat. His pricing should be within your range though it has been one year since I had my procedure done.
Unlike most of the doctors who specialize in trans* procedures, he does many types of plastic surgery as well as other surgeries and has won many awards for his work. When all the 'trans-experienced' doctors told me I would have two massive scars under my pecs, he told me he could operate without doing that and still give me smooth, perfectly masculine chest. He was right!
I am extremely glad I went to him and not someone who would have left me with big, unnecessary scars. The fact that he was able to do it shows that the other surgeons I had consulted were wrong or simply were not capable of doing what he was. He did liposuction through small holes in my armpit area and then removed the glandular tissue through an incision on the underside of each nipple.
Since you mentioned being in the Northern Virginia area, definitely get your consultation with him and see what he has to say!

Fischer is known as the best surgeon for peri/keyhole. I think that if you have the opportunity to go to her, you should take it, even if you have to pay a bit more. She does an extensive amount of this surgery type and is sought out for this surgery type, specifically. I met her for consult (as I live close by), but decided to go with Garramone in FL. I did not go with her because I did not like her, I went to Garramone because I got the double incision (and prefer his work for that type surgery). However, if I was getting peri or keyhole, I would choose Fischer no matter where I lived in the country.
Look up her photos at transbucket. You will find many peri/keyholes.

I heard about Dr. Singh but did not know that he performed top surgery for ftms! I was always too afraid to go to a surgeon without specializing in the trans community but since you have mentioned him I am a bit interested, especially since he has an office in McLean, VA--very close to where I live! Would you mind sendin in before and after photos if you're comfortable with it? Also, how much did it cost for your surgery? How about the consultation?
