I'm currently 17 (I'll be 18 June 2019) and I want to start trying to plan my top surgery. The issue here is that I have no idea where to really start... I live in Minnesota so the ideal would be to have my surgery here to cut down on extra costs, but I'm open if there is a better option. Please help me figure this out or just tell me how you planned.

P.S. I will need a double incision surgery and also I'm not able to start the therapy portion probably until I'm probably 18, but there may be a possibility for negotiation with my parents.

I've seen some nice work from Dr. Kim. Dr. Christensen probably has the most experience in the state.

Will you be using insurance?

You will likely need the support letters (esp. if using insurance), so even though you can't start that just yet, you could start by looking for a local therapist with the required experience.

You could also use this "limbo" time to research surgeons, pre-op preparations and what you'll need while healing from surgery.
